About the Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups pitted fresh or thawed frozen cherries
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cacao powder
2 pitted dates soaked for 10 min.
2 Tbsp ground chia seeds
Optional garnishes: fresh mint, pitted cherries or berries, slivered almonds or cacao nibs.
Preparation
In a high powered blender or food processor, combine the cherries, banana, cacao, dates and 1/2 cup water. Blend until completely smooth and divide evenly into two bowls or glass jars.
Add 1 Tbsp. ground chia seeds to each bowl and stir until they are evenly distributed.
Cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours or overnight.
Serve as is or topped with garnish of choice.
